From the Colorado Sprigs Gazette – February 2005

Visitors might stroll past Red Mountain Gallery and see Crosby Perry-Smith, ex-Olympic skier, veteran of the 10th Mountain Division and member of the Colorado Ski Hall of Fame, look up from his easel by the front window and invite them in to watch him work on his latest mountain landscape. The 81-year-old learned to paint five years ago from his friend, business partner, and teacher Janet Carlile who teaches at the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. "He is a Grandpa Moses." she said.
